Smoke
"Smoke," by all means, I’ve worked harder on this CD, than I
have any other project. The time and dedication I put into this
album, stretches to over a year. And I must say, I have never
had better music behind the poems. I can NOW, finally, with
confidence, call myself, a producer.
The poems, most of them were written, or had been thought of
about a solid year before it's release, but, they have been
marinated, and repeatedly edited throughout that time period. I pride 'Smoke,' as being my grandest work to date, the energy I put behind this project, has exceeded anything before it.
As a writer, novelist, poet, spoken word artist, I feel my career depends on letting all my guards down and being brave enough to display that in my art, whatever the thoughts are.
I wanted to give people a feeling as if you are listening to the CD, as it is being recorded, to et a feeling of what it is like in the studio, so I got to thank, my good friend, and phenomenal poet, The Dri Fish, for assisting me with the interludes. Guest feature, Amir Suliman, Jamie DeWolf Kennedy, their verse on the title cut, Smoke.
